I have some long term investment in an investment company. I am happy with the way things are going but I would like to do some private investing. I am really hesitant jumping in because I don't know a lot about them. Is there a good stock trading platform out there that is honest and easy to work with?

I have used Charles Schwab for years. It's a great trading platform because it is complicated as you want to make it. If you just want to trade a few stocks, the main page is very straight forward.
